I'm Kevin Mills, founder of DREP. Through the years, I've attended and spoken at many real estate clubs. What has struck me most about these clubs is that they charge their members to attend meetings and then they have someone in who gives this big sales pitch. The newer, bigger, better program that no investor can be without. Very few clubs have anyone come in and offer properties for sale or services that investors really need.
From these pitches, the organizers pocket the profits.
What do their members learn? What do they get from their club?
Don't get me wrong, I've been to a number of great clubs that have great programs, educational materials to loan to their members and more, but for the most part, it seems to me that the majority of real estate clubs have been put together to put money into the pockets of the person who runs the club.
This isn't so with DREP. When I first started DREP in 2000, I wanted a club for myself, but also for the members of the club. A club that would provide information, opportunities and networks as well as friends. A club that could take direction from it's members. A club that would offer the information, services and programs the members wanted and needed. To that end, I created DREP.
We call DREP "YOUR CLUB", because it really is. Your input and your participation is a valuable ingredient in any DREP meeting. We want to know the needs and preferences of our fellow members so that we can have absolutely the best real estate club and networking experience available.
